Anthony R. “Pat” Martincin, age 95.  Born February 6, 1921 in Lorain, Ohio.  Beloved husband of the late Carol A. Martincin (nee Jones) for 71 years.  Loving father of Gayle (the late Robert), Jeff (Patty), Valerie (Jim) and Kelly.  Cherished grandfather of Michael, Stacie (Jeff) and Kristin (Walter) and great grandfather of Koby and Kale.  Fond uncle of nieces and nephews. Pat was a member of St. Raymond de Penafort Church in Mt. Prospect, Illinois.

He was a former resident of Hoffman Estates and most recently, Mt. Prospect.  Pat served in the CMTC, The CCC, USMTS, The Merchant Marine and the U.S. Navy 1942-1945, assigned to the aircraft carrier, Phillippine Sea.  Pat attended Columbia College.  He was an employee of NBC Chicago for 38 years and was charter president of the NABET Credit Union.

Pat was preceded in death by his wife of 71 years, Carol A. Martincin (nee Jones) on December 13th, 2015; parents, Joseph and Sophie (nee Hoye) Martincin; brothers, Richard, Eugene and Joseph; and sisters, Helen Bacha, Cecilia Farkas, Mildred Groboski, Eleanor Butchko, Betty Simo and Darlene Kajganich.

 

On Saturday, May 14th at 9:00 am, family and friends are invited to attend committal service with military honors at All Saints Cemetery, 700 N. River Rd, Des Plaines, Illinois.

Celebration of Life to follow from 9:45 am to 1:00 pm with service at 10:10 am. at  Friedrichs Funeral Home, 320 W. Central Road (at Northwest Highway), Mt Prospect, IL.
